Summer Vacation
Summer is vacation time, and your blogger has been taking it easy. Now I am getting ready to go on a real vacation, so you won't see me at the meetings for a couple of weeks.
Wasn't yesterday's program great? I think the Santa Fe Search and Rescue team is great, and I sure am glad to know that they are there when we need them. Let's all do our best not to meet them personally in their professional capacity!

Kick Out Party
Message from our dedicated sergeant at arms Preston, President Garret's son
Come one, come all, to the annual Kick Out Party! Although our new president is installed, he still wants to honor our club tradition of having a party to officially "kick out" our last president. We will be meeting at the Eldorado Community Center on August 2nd, 4pm-7pm, for the party. Joan Rutherford passed the sign up sheet this morning so we all could let her know what we are bringing. Please contact her if you have not had the opportunity to sign up yet.
Other news: Kids at Play football continues this week, and will soon reach playoff stage. Please contact Barry Gerst to sign up for this week and coming weeks.
Our speaker this morning was very thought provoking. Challenge for the week: What can you do this week to support boys in Santa Fe? Personally, I am going to volunteer for Kids at Play, which supports team sports, something that has been dwindling in our schools. Post your comments with your plans, so we can all support each other in helping our community in this way.
